Information you provide
We may collect information that you voluntarily submit through membership registration, contact forms, event registration, photo uploads, newsletter subscriptions, account profiles, or other club forms. This may include your name, email address, membership information, messages, and files you choose to provide.
Member accounts and functional cookies
WordPress and our membership tools use cookies needed for login, account security, saved preferences, and other website functions. These cookies are used to provide requested services and maintain secure member sessions.
Website analytics
We use Matomo Analytics to understand how prospective visitors use and return to our public website. Matomo is hosted within the Ridgewood Camera Club website. It places a first-party analytics cookie containing a random visitor identifier that expires after 90 days. This allows us to distinguish new and returning visitors using the same browser and device.
We do not use Matomo to identify visitors by name, track them across unrelated websites, or track logged-in club members. All logged-in WordPress users are excluded from Matomo tracking. If a visitor clears cookies, changes browsers, or uses another device, Matomo may treat that visitor as new.
Embedded content and external services
Pages may include embedded content or links from other websites, such as videos, maps, social media, payment services, or event services. Those providers may collect information under their own privacy policies when you interact with their content.
How information is used and shared
Information is used to operate the club, administer memberships and events, respond to requests, secure the website, communicate with members and subscribers, and understand public website usage. Account holders may review or update available profile information through their account.
