- Plus a Instagram Demonstration Presented by Reed
Reed will explain why Instagram can be a useful place for photographers to display their work, follow other photographers, and stay connected with RCC. He will then give a live demonstration of the complete posting process—including selecting an image, writing a caption, adding hashtags, tagging RCC, and publishing the finished post.Whether you recently joined RCC or have been a member for years, you’ll likely discover resources you didn’t know were available.

We have several upcoming workshops scheduled for this fall. First, on Thursday, October 8th at 7:30pm Valérie Jardin, a renowned street photographer, will give an engaging talk about her craft on Zoom. Then, on Saturday, October 17th, Wildlife photographer, John Scalera, will do a presentation live at FLUMC at 1pm. Finally, on Saturday, November 7th, Neil van Niekerk, a respected portrait photographer, will lead a workshop on studio photography and lighting at his studio in Fairfield. The details on these workshops can be found on the RCC website under Workshops. We ask that you please sign up there for the wildlife and studio workshops so we know how many are coming. Please note that the studio photography workshop is limited to the first 20 members who sign up. No need to sign up for the street photography zoom session.

Your Assigned Subject for 2026-2027 are Geometric Shapes and Selective Focus.

We are going to Wildwood early on Friday 10/2 for breakfast and then to photograph the The Race of Gentlemen festivities. On the way home we will stop at Asbury Park on Saturday 10/3 to check out the Zombie Parade. We are staying at the Landmark Motel (225 Schellenger Ave, 1-609-522-2442) Friday Night. If you decide to join us, please let me know where you are staying, install What’s App on your phone, let me know your mobil number and I will add you to our chat group for this meetup.
