I can't believe we're in August! What a summer. It has truly flown by. Can't wait to hear what everyone got up to. I'll be sending out more weekly emails in August to get us ready for the 2026-2027 season! If you have any updates, please let me know via email.

BAPS Swaminarayan Akshardham Hindu Temple And Grounds for Sculpture
|
A masterpiece of intricate carvings, symmetry, and serene architectural detail. The craftsmanship alone offers endless opportunities for close ups, patterns, and grand scale compositions. We plan to only photograph the outside of the temple and the surrounding grounds. Photography is not allowed inside. We will follow this up with a lunch and visit at Grounds for Sculpture.

Summer break becomes a wide‑open canvas of circles, lines, and triangles—inviting you to wander with your camera, explore geometric patterns in everyday scenes, and play with selective focus to turn simple shapes and subjects into compelling visual stories. Your Assigned Subject for 2026-2027 are Geometric Shapes and Selective Focus.

Waves Across Time ‘Sandy Hook’ – Pollak Gallery @ Monmouth University, West Long Branch, NJ
Deb Chasolen has 2 pieces featured in “Waves Across Time” an art exhibition at the Pollak Gallery at Monmouth University Center for the Arts. Exhibit runs from June 22- August 7 (may extend through the end of August).

Blue Hill Exhibition
Ruth Plucinski is joining 11 other artists and photographers in the 2026 Solo Exhibition at the Blue Hill Hill Art and Cultural Center in Pearl River. The exhibit runs until August 21st.
