DESCRIPTION:the next few weeks we will be drawing our club year to a close (my how time flies!). As is our tradition\, we will be having our annual Club Picnic on Saturday\, June 6th\, from noon to 4 p.m. at the Ridgewood Duck Pond (1133 East Ridgewood Avenue\, Ridgewood). This event will be held rain or shine as we have a pavilion that we can huddle under if need be!\n\nI need to get a count for the food (which we will be providing) so please RSVP at by Friday\, May 29th (and you certainly don’t need to wait till then!).\n\nWe will be setting up tables for photography related items that you would like to sell and others you would prefer to give away so start scouting out what you might like to bring.\n\nPlease contact me should you have any questions. DESCRIPTION:Another one of our regular visits to the NYBG to see whats in bloom\, visit the latest exhibit called Flower Power and have an optional lunch at Arther Ave. Rescheduled from July  \nPlan on getting there at 9:45 just before they open at 10.00  \nChannel the spirit of the ’60s at Flower Power\, a joyous celebration of the enduring symbolism of flowers as icons of peace and love. Immerse yourself in a groovy and colorful flower show spotlighting the ways in which hippie culture advanced closer relationships with the natural world\, and explore vibrant botanical displays. NYBG’s galleries showcase photography and visual art from the 1960s\, while installations on grounds invite all of us to “come together” and be empowered to embrace flowers as symbols in our own lives. \n \n___________________________________________________________________________________________________ \nFor an August 2 visit to the New York Botanical Garden\, the garden has transitioned from early summer into its rich late-summer display.
